Father Time, a kind friend.
He leads all down a path,
no curves, no obstacles, no ledges,
kept close by an iron chain.
There's no escape from Father Time.
Reaper, an insufferable trickster.
he pulls at the chain,
pokes, prods, and jabs the body,
slips away the iron bonds.
Led into the unknown by Reaper.
Death, a pure spirit.
he will find all,
from species to race,
from gender to age,
Death does not discriminate.
He lurks in the mind's depths,
where none will see.
Patiently waiting.
For
you.
So my dear sir,
could you or anyone,
within the world's sweet air,
answer to me
the age old question,
as to why a creature
would do such a silly thing,
as a hyena does to laugh?

Treasures and Such: The Book of Masulsa: Chapter 2
There was a table in the back of the restaurant, in front of the largest window. An elderly looking man sat at that table, facing the door. His head was bald, save for his beard, which was dyed blue and just about reached his knees. He had brown eyes that could easily betray his thoughts and past. In his youth, he had moved to Syba from the other Earth. In that dimension he was Russo-Chinese, but since Syba was filled with variously mixed people and languages were free range, it didn't truly matter. Due to his healthy lifestyle when he was young, he was still fit and had a high range of movement.

A small, round creature, with pale fur, bushy eyebrows, a yellowish beak, and two blue feet, flits around through the bushed, flicking its wire-like tail. Its intelligent blue eyes gaze around, landing on a dark form. It watches as the form sneaks closer and prepares to pounce. As it leaps, the creature scurries away, disappearing through the trees. the figure stares wide-eyed at the place the creature just was, as laughter echoes from the top of a nearby tree.
"See, Teragram? I told you, you can't catch a lemming that way," laughed the strawberry-blonde girl, as she scaled her way down the tree. The figure stood up, brush

"Hey! Are you all right?"
"Sure, why wouldn't I be?"
"Um...because you just fell from the roof of the hou-"
"See, that's where you're wrong. I didn't fall. The floor challenged me and I accepted."
"And how did that go for you?"
"The floor won. But only because it had the advantage."
"Of being non sentient and vast in size, along with the fact that there is a freaking storm out!!"
"Nope. I just attacked from the wrong position."
"Backwards?"
"I overestimated my skills."
"I'll say. You're bleeding!"
"Only a little. Ask me again."
"What?"
"If I'm fine."
"Are you?"
"Nope."

Bedtime Stories : The Tree That Was Seen
*The Tree That Was Seen*
Once upon a time, on a planet far away, there lived a little tree. But this was no ordinary tree, no, this little tree could speak. She could speak to the Sun, oh what bright conversations they would have! Every morning he would greet her with a loud, boisterous HELLO!!! and then the two would talk for hours.
They talked about the brightness of his light, his magnificent rays, the perfect symmetrical shape of his body, and how healthy he made her leaves. But before long, the Sun would go to sleep, and a smaller, dimmer, shy little moon would appear in the sky.
He watched over the tree every night, but had never, no
